The Brief

Modernise the main bathroom and adjacent toilet with a new hand basin.

Remove the existing bay window and straighten up the external wall.

Install a new window that allows for privacy as this window faces the road.

Increase the size of the shower.

Create a functional and user-friendly space.
The brief from the homeowners was to remove the bay window, align the external wall and install a new highlight window that would allow light into the bathroom, but still provide privacy as it faced the road. The existing bathroom was a great size to begin with which always helps so although we lost some space we had a more useable shape to work with.
The only real change other than the external wall, was relocating the vanity to the other end of the bath. Everything else remained in the same location.
There was also a cupboard above the entrance doorway into the main bathroom that closed the area in. This was removed making the bathroom feel more open upon entry.
I absolutely LOVE these tiles. 😎 They make that gorgeous Newtech Newark corner back to wall bath pop while complimenting the colour of the vanity at the same time.
Another beautifully executed bathroom renovation from Refresh Renovations Hawkes Bay and once again, some very happy homeowners.
